For Families

If your child has been referred to a pediatric urologist, you probably have more questions than the consultation had minutes. This section is for you.

I write these articles the way I talk to parents in my clinic: plainly, without alarm, and without false reassurance. They will not diagnose your child, and they don't replace your child's doctor, but they can help you understand the words, prepare the questions, and feel less alone in the waiting room. I know that room. I sat in it as a child myself.

One more thing. Bring your questions to your appointment, written down, all of them, even the ones that feel silly. No good doctor has ever minded a prepared parent.
